In the role of Director of Administration Sandra manages Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives, Finance, Human Resources, Business Development, Marketing and Facilities. She also has a leadership role in strategic planning and engagement of the YWCA’s Women’s Leadership Institute and Racial Justice programs.
Before joining, the YWCA of Greater Cleveland Sandra was president of Archbishop Lyke School where she was responsible for providing leadership and management of all projects and activities related to mission effectiveness, fundraising, strategic planning, finances, administration, alumni relations, public relations, and board relations.
Sandra has a very diverse background. Prior to her position at Archbishop Lyke School, she taught Chemistry at Beaumont School and served as Department Chairperson. She held a variety of progressive positions at FirstEnergy, exiting as a National Sales Manager. Before working at FirstEnergy, Sandra was a chemist at the Glidden-Durkee Research Center in Strongsville, Ohio.
Sandra has a B.S. in Chemistry from Baldwin Wallace College and an MBA specializing in Finance from Cleveland State University.
Sandra is an active community volunteer. She served on the Beaumont Board of Directors and the Ursuline College School of Arts & Sciences Advisory Board. She has served on the Governance and Program Committees of the Thea Bowman Center since 2012, and is currently Chair of the Program Committee and Co-Vice President of the Board.
She is an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Alpha Omega Graduate Chapter. She is a founding member and former president of the Cleveland Chapter of the National Black MBA Association.
