Kathy is an accomplished business leader with twenty-five years of experience at GE with a diverse background in both commercial as well as operations roles.
Kathy currently serves as the General Manager, Consumer Marketing for GE Lighting where she is responsible for setting and executing a growth strategy in a dynamic, transforming industry. Kathy leads the advertising, branding, digital, promotion, packaging and product positioning strategies for consumer lighting products sold in the retail channel of distribution. Prior to this role, Kathy was the General Manager, Product Management & Marketing for GE Lighting responsible for new product development and product platform strategy.
Kathy has also served as the Chief Marketing Officer for GE Lighting and Current, powered by GE, where she led global B2B marketing efforts. While in that position, Kathy played a significant role in re-positioning the business as a software infrastructure company from its 140-year-old traditional light bulb history. Additionally, Kathy has served as the General Manager, North America Commercial Services for GE Lighting where she was responsible for Pricing and Customer Service activities for all product lines and customer types. Kathy developed the business’ category management capabilities during her role as Manager, Sales Operations. She is a certified Six Sigma Master Blackbelt and has held roles in several functions within the business including: Marketing, Sales, Sourcing, and Quality.
Kathy serves as the business executive sponsor for GE’s Women’s Network and is an active member, mentor and advocate. In 2014, Kathy received the Diversity MBA Award and has earned several GE leadership awards during her tenure at the company. Outside of GE, Kathy serves on the Board of Directors for the Lake County YMCA.
A native of Syracuse, New York, Kathy has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Dayton and holds an MBA from John Carroll University.
